Bookings, Deposits & Payment

All reservations are subject to availability. A rental is confirmed only after the required deposit has been paid and JL Party Rentals has issued a reservation confirmation or invoice.

• Deposits are non-refundable because they reserve the equipment, services and event date for the renter.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full before delivery or at the time stated on the renter’s invoice.
• Requests submitted by phone, text or email do not hold inventory until the required payment is completed.
• Changes to quantities, products, service times or locations remain subject to availability and may change the final price.

Delivery, Setup, Access & Pickup

• The renter must provide an accurate delivery address, a safe access route and a setup area that is clean, level and ready when the delivery team arrives.
• The renter or an authorized adult must be present at the agreed delivery and pickup times unless JL Party Rentals approves another arrangement in writing.
• Equipment may not be moved after installation when moving it could damage the item, flooring, walls, décor or surrounding property.
• Delays caused by blocked access, stairs, elevators, parking, venue restrictions or an unprepared setup area may result in additional charges or cancellation of the delivery.
• The renter remains responsible for all rental equipment from delivery or customer pickup until it is returned to or collected by JL Party Rentals.

Damage Policy & Equipment Care

The renter is responsible for protecting all equipment against misuse, staining, theft, loss, weather exposure and damage during the rental period.

Permanent stains, cuts, burns, chemical damage, broken frames, damaged upholstery and missing parts may require full repair or replacement. Silly String, face paint, markers, adhesives, open flames and other staining or damaging substances are prohibited near rental equipment.

Safety, Supervision & Product-Specific Rules

Bounce Houses & Interactive Equipment

• Constant adult supervision by a person age 18 or older is required whenever an inflatable or interactive item is in use.
• Users must follow posted capacity, height, weight and age restrictions.
• Shoes, food, drinks, sharp objects, face paint and Silly String are prohibited inside inflatables.
• Equipment must be stopped immediately during unsafe weather or when instructed by JL Party Rentals.

Furniture, Backdrops, Marquee Items, Carpets & Linens

• Decorative items and installed displays must not be moved, climbed on, leaned against or altered after setup.
• Linens, upholstered pieces and carpets must be protected from wax, ink, paint, gum, food stains, burns and excessive moisture.
• Marquee numbers and electrical décor must remain dry and connected only as instructed.

Concession Machines, Fountains & Portable Bars

• Only approved ingredients and supplies may be used in rented machines or fountains.
• Equipment must be operated by a responsible adult and kept away from children unless directly supervised.
• The renter is responsible for food safety, beverage service and any permits or venue rules related to serving food or drinks.

Patio Heaters & Restrooms

• Patio heaters must remain in the approved setup location and away from walls, fabric, balloons, flammable décor and combustible materials.
• Heaters may not be moved, modified or used indoors unless the specific unit is expressly rated and approved for that use.
• Restroom units must not be moved, vandalized, overloaded or used to dispose of prohibited materials.

Weather & Outdoor Installations

JL Party Rentals may refuse, postpone, stop or remove an outdoor installation when wind, lightning, heavy rain, flooding, extreme heat or another condition creates an unsafe situation.

• Inflatable equipment may be canceled, deflated or removed when winds approach or exceed the safe operating limit for the unit, including approximately 15–20 mph when applicable.
• The renter must identify underground utilities and obtain any venue approvals or permits required for staking or outdoor setup.
• Weather decisions made by JL Party Rentals are based on safety and may be made before delivery or during the event.
• Once equipment has been delivered and installed, later weather changes do not create a right to a refund or credit.

Cancellation, Credit & No-Show Policy

• Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable and secure the equipment and event date.
• More than 7 days before the event: The deposit amount may be issued as a credit toward a future rental used within 6 months, subject to availability.
• Within 48 hours of the event: The deposit is forfeited, and a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total rental balance may apply.
• Weather cancellation before setup: When JL Party Rentals cancels an installation for unsafe weather before setup begins, the customer will receive a credit of the deposit toward a future available date.
• After setup: No refunds or credits are issued because of weather changes after equipment has been installed.
• No-show or inaccessible setup area: If the renter is unavailable or the location is not ready or accessible, the delivery team may wait up to 15 minutes before leaving for the next scheduled delivery. The rental may then be treated as canceled, and the full balance may remain due.

Assumption of Risk & Liability

The renter accepts responsibility for the safe use and supervision of rental equipment during the rental period. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable California law, the renter agrees to release and hold harmless JL Party Rentals, its owners, employees and contractors from claims arising from misuse, unauthorized movement, lack of supervision, violation of these policies or failure to follow safety instructions.

Nothing in these policies is intended to waive any right or responsibility that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Governing Law & Agreement

These rental policies are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in the area serving JL Party Rentals, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.

By paying a deposit, completing a reservation, accepting delivery or using the rented equipment, the renter confirms acceptance of these policies and any additional terms shown on the invoice or rental agreement.
